UMC International was formed in 1972 and joined the V. Group in 2006. They acquired the Singapore based inshore diving company Maritime Underwater Maintenance which subsequently integrated and rebranded into UMC. In 2014 V.Group acquired the SE Asia based offshore IRM company, CORE-IRM, which in-turn was integrated within UMC and rebranded as UMC. UMC has built a worldwide network of services specialising in affordable, flexible solutions for all classes of marine, offshore and naval vessels, rigs, platforms, FPSO's/FSO's, marine and mooring units.
UMC delivers underwater and afloat Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) services. In addition, UMC provides marine construction services to ports, terminals and shipyards, as well as the manufacture of hull cleaning equipment and hull aperture blanks, engineering consultancy and project management.
